Sentinel Scheme Rules

Compliance with the Sentinel Scheme Rules is mandatory for all parties involved in putting people to work safely on the Managed Infrastructure (MI). These rules apply to all organisations undertaking the role of Sponsor, as well as all individuals with a current profile on the Sentinel system.

What is the Managed Infrastructure (MI)?

The Managed Infrastructure (MI) includes:

• Network Rail Managed Infrastructure (NRMI).
• Docklands Light Railway (DLR).
• London Underground.
• London Overground.
• Rail for London (Elizabeth line).

Rail Training Accreditation Scheme (RTAS) Rules

The Rail Training Accreditation Scheme (RTAS) Rules define the mandatory requirements for compliance with the scheme, together with the consequences of any breaches.

These rules apply to organisations and individuals who deliver rail training and assessment services, managed by Network Rail, for companies and individuals carrying out work on the Network Rail Managed Infrastructure (NRMI).

Compliance with the RTAS Rules is mandatory for all parties involved in the process.
