Change to Sentinel billing

With effect from the January 2022 invoice release, all sponsored individuals will instigate a charge being levied for the use of the Sentinel database.

The reasoning behind this decision is to enable charging for the use of the Sentinel service to be fairly distributed across all companies who are sponsoring individuals, whether or not a card or competence is held.

In summary, any individual who is sponsored by a company in Sentinel for 1 day or more during a quarter, will be charged retrospectively for that sponsorship for the previous quarter.

This step is expected to introduce an additional benefit of improved record management of sponsored staff, whereby individuals who no longer have a working relationship with the managed Rail Infrastructure, will be de-sponsored more promptly.
